Poem of the Week: “Faith Like a Child”

I wrote this poem as a reminder of the faith that we are called to have in Christ. Sometimes too much theology and doctrine begin to cloud my brain, and I start to wander from the basics of the gospel. This poem was written as a reminder of the things that really matter when it comes to our faith in Christ.

Faith of a Child

His hand in my hand,
My dreams in His hand,
My Father is my Light.

His Words in my heart,
My heart in His hand,
My Father is my Truth.

I walk as a lamb,
My Father walks beside me.

I stand in the fire,
My Father stands beside me.

I sit among thistles,
My Father sits beside me.

I face a roaring lion,
My Father rescues me.

One day, I will watch over the earth;
But meanwhile,
My Father watches over me.

      1. You bet. My blog won’t be as devotional oriented as yours, but it’s certainly from a Christian perspective. My background is Ministry. So I appreciate what you’re doing!
